Denae Harpham (She/Her), originally from Tisdale, Saskatchewan, is a contemporary dancer based in Vancouver. Denae trained under several reputable commercial dance educators during her time with the Source Dance Company before shifting her focus to contemporary dance. She completed the Modus Operandi Link program, followed by it's post-secondary training program under the direction of Tiffany Tregarthen, David Raymond, Kate Franklin, and Maiko Miyauchi. During Denae’s time with Modus, she had the opportunity to study the repertoire of Crystal Pite, Out Innerspace, Yue Yin, Spenser Theberge, and Shay Kuebler, among several others. Denae recently toured West Coast Canada with Ballet BC’s Annex Program, performing repertoire from Medhi Walerski, Micaela Taylor, and Zachary Seto, for students across British Columbia. Denae’s passion for understanding the foundations behind movement has led to her enrolment at the University of Regina, working towards completing her Bachelor of Kinesiology.

Amongst her most notable performance moments, Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival, Australia Joint Dance Congress, performances with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, and Innovate Film Showcase have expanded her perception of what is possible as an artist. Most recently, Lindsay co-created a short film entitled “Criss cross” with Denae Harpham, and produced her first full-length work “Behind Us”, which premiered in Saskatoon SK. She aims to combine her dance experience and Kinesiology education to create and participate in environments that feel creatively inspiring. As a Kinesiologist, Lindsay is currently working at the Performance Clinic based out of Ballet BC HQ, and works with programs such as MO, SFU, and pre-professional companies, working with dancers to prevent and rehabilitate injuries.
